Although we're still waiting on the Stardew Valley '1.6 Update' for Switch, the game's creator Eric 'ConcernedApe' Barone is already rolling out new updates for the PC version. In the latest update (1.6.4 update), the creator has added all sorts of new content and features on top of everything...
Nintendo has been building up excitement for the return of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door with regular reminders the game is on the way. Just earlier this week, its social accounts introduced the main cast of the game and now it seems to be sharing a slightly more detailed breakdown of each...
Over the years, we have been blessed with a plethora of amazing RPGs taking inspiration from one another and each (sometimes) being even better than the last, and one RPG that comes to mind is The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Despite existing long before The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt arrived on the scene...
Mere days ago, I was whining about how a new trailer for Cupid Parasite: Sweet and Spicy Darling didn't quite make up for the lack of a known release date. Someone somewhere must have heard my cries, because today Idea Factory International announced the game's release date. It also dropped a...
When I think of Idea Factory otome games, much of what comes to mind is as cute and colourful as the upcoming Cupid Paradise: Sweet and Spicy Darling. Don't get me wrong, those are wonderful and creative games – but what if an otome visual novel decides to go dark with a supernatural theme? You...
Hades 2 is the hotly anticipated follow-up to the breakout success that was Supergiant Games's foray into the roguelite genre. Promising a new protagonist and an expanded roster of gods and goddesses to meet, fans of the original are champing at the bit to get in on some of the action. A...
I'm almost ashamed to admit that I forgot how good Hades was. The roguelike took over my life for months when I picked it up back in 2020, but after unlocking all the weapons, finding perfect boon combinations, and maxing out friendships with every character, I never looked back. Such is the...
I would describe Read Only Memories: Neurodiver as a cyberpunk psychic mystery visual novel with point-and-click adventure elements. Or is it the other way around? Either way, use the word psychic in any capacity describing a game and I'll instantly be interested. (Or the word cryptid, kind of...

Sker Ritual would have been easier to get along with if it had its own identity.

The reason to keep coming back to Hades isn't just the thrills you'll get battling through hell, but the characters and stories you learn about along the way.

Rose & Camellia Collection gets away with a lot of its technical imperfections simply because of the strength of its concept and its solid presentation.

So let's say that you've region changed your 3DS (example: JPN to USA) and you try to go in the eShop and/or Pokemon Bank on the USA version but then you get an error code that says 007-2001. This is because your serial number in Nintendo's servers are still in the other region (JPN). In order...

I've seen this asked a lot over the years and since someone asked it today and I recently mapped out all the Settings saves, I decided to test my theory that the answer was there. It was. Use case: You are stuck at the system initialize screen with the 'connect joycons' animation but you don't...

Fanmade games are always a delight to see, be it original or altogether recreated games made from scratch, and this case, a beloved arcade and SNES classic got such treatment. The original "Final Fight" is a "beat 'em up" game originally released for the arcades back in 1989 with the option to play with two players, and then later ported over to other consoles, such as the SNES, Sega CD and the GBA, with all three versions ranging from slight censored content like GBA port, to severe cut content like the SNES port, which had the playable character Guy, the Industrial area and the two player co-op gameplay removed, and to top it off, censored content as well. A development team going by the name "CFX", which consists of Edmo Caldas, Master Linkuei, Mauro Xavier and Oscar Celestini, have worked to put together an entirely new recreation of the original arcade game made from scratch, without any kind of pre-existing or reverse-engineered code, and managed to get the game working on the original SEGA Genesis / Mega Drive hardware, complete with all its 3 characters, 3 rounds/stages out of the 6 so far, and a survivor and attack modes implemented into the game. Those interested in trying out the WIP build of the homebrew port can find it on Itch.
After almost a year and a half in development and many beta versions, Aria of Sorrow Reprise v1.0 is now released! Reprise is a roguelike mod for Aria of Sorrow with a procedurally generated castle along with custom rooms, extensive new features, effects and re-balancing. Explore randomized areas, clear rooms, and then fight the boss to advance the game. Experiment with new equipment and soul abilities, with changes documented in-game with the '~' character. There are many more details in the readme, but it is easy to jump in and play! This mod is targeted to both beginners and experienced players with 4 difficulties, and does not require any previous map knowledge due to it's progression system and map generation. It's also very replayable, just use a different filename to generate a different castle. This has been a rewarding project that a lot of effort was put into - huge thanks to everyone who has played it and provided feedback to get to this point. Enjoy this latest release! Download Page
